Math Updates

A game we have been playing is Salute. The students all explained how to play this game on Seesaw. Check it out-its a really fun, motivating way to learn the multiplication facts! You can play game at home.
We are continuing our unit on Fractions. Here are the objectives we are working on:
-developing an understanding of fractions as distances on a number line
-recognizing whole numbers as fractions
-identify and locate fractions greater than, less than, and equal to 1 on a number line
-solve number stories involving fractions
-share collections equally and represent the resulting groups with fractions

IXL provides some great activities to practice fractions. There are actually 52 different games on IXL for fraction practice!
